I’ve read quite a few novels with anti-heroes, but they’re difficult to get right; “I’m fine,” snarled Malus. I did Google a map of the fantasy world to better understand how the different races dwarves, humans, vampires, orcs, Chaos, High Elves, etc came into contact chronickes each other.

So, logically, dark elf would mean ’emo evil pansy’. Jun 23, Kahraman Kahramangil rated it it was amazing.

Malus Darkblade is a highborn of the dark elves, a cruel and treacherous race. It took me awhile to actually get past the first few chapters. It told about the adventure of the Dark Elf to find a power to make him more famous at chroniclws kin lands. Looking forward to starting book 4 tomorrow to see what happens next! The developed female characters are usually the most evil ones, since they have defined ambitions which they are willing to fight for.

His the best anti-hero. Personally I find that a chdonicles generous. Really, the two are kept separate, so you don’t need to know anything about Warhammer 40k to read fantasy, or vice versa.

Since it is an Omnibus the stories took a logical approach and the movement made sense. Mar 27, Graham Gipps rated it it was amazing. Warhammer fans get to see a unigue malua and parts of the world not explored in many other novels. A fast-paced, sea-faring adventure full of humour and sibling rivalry!

The Chronicles of Malus Darkblade: Volume Two (Warhammer : Darkblade) by Dan Abnett and Mike Lee

The violence is gripping, the pacing is great most of the padding is violence, which is to be expected in a Warhammer novel and the female characters were pretty solid as well, on the whole. The setting and characters are very Warhammer which is great.

Cant wait to get the 2nd one. He’s a villain to the core, always out for ma,us one. Nov 07, Camille rated it liked it. One of the best reads I have ever had. What follows is an action packed journey filled with sibling rivalry, schemes, betrayals, deadly magic, prophecies and gory battle scenes. I would also suggest The Sundering by Gav Thorpe.
